Just done a current test on the 3478A and while I don't have an actual current reference standard, I have set up a test using a bench PSU and 3.3K resistor, set the current on a meter and then checked it on a number of other meters, which all agree within a couple of micro amps and then checked it with the 3478A which is reading the same.
So I did a sort of transfer calibration and what are the chances 6 meters all drifting in the same direction and by the same amount? If Dave can dismiss the chances of 2 drifting in the same direction and time then so can I by an order of magnitude more.
Verdict a cracking deal at just £65 for 5.5 digit, calibrated meter.
