My latest 'fix' arrived today. I plugged it in and fired it up early this afternoon and just let it sit and cook. As it's a hi-z input meter, the unterminated inputs let the reading climb to about -300mV or so, but upon shorting the input terminals it immediately goes to zero. Here are a few (
very) quick-and-dirty photos - it's in parallel with a Data Precision 3500, and being powered by an HP 6218A power supply.
Considering I've no idea what its history is, it seems to be pretty accurate on the lower DC ranges based on this extremely cursory check. A 2.2k 5% carbon film resistor reads 2.189k which also seems acceptable. I'll wring it out and get some pictures of the insides at some point in the hopefully not terribly distant future...

It needs some cleaning and TLC, but is in pretty decent condition for its (currently unknown, but I'm gonna guess 40+ years at least, since it's a 7000 and not a 7000A) age. Ahh, the lovely warm glow of nixies!
