For the guys who sent me PM's asking if I was OK I tried to respond over my phone but I forgot my blog password and it locked me out. But I can't tell you how much I appreciate the inquiries concerning my well being. We have a great caring group here.
So, where have I been? In the hospital. The pain in my lower back kept coming back and was getting worse. And I was having trouble urinating. Wednesday afternoon I called an ambulance. There was no way I could drive.
So, what happen? I give you the short skinny. I have a hernia. That hernia, combined with old man enlarged prostrate (which turns out isn't all that enlarged after all) basically caused my bladder to lock up. Apparently a normal adult bladder can hold about 750ml. They inserted a catheter and took
2 LITERS of urine out. And was backing up into my kidneys. ER doc was real concerned that my kidneys were damaged and initial blood work showed they were in distress. I can tell you that luckily my kidneys recovered and they are OK.
AND.....as soon as that catheter was inserted and bladder drained my pain was gone and has been gone since Wednesday.
I am home. With a catheter and urine bag strapped to my leg. I have to wear it at least a week along with medication. It's not uncomfortable as long as I'm sitting. But I can tell you it's no fun having a metal tube stuck up your you-know-what.
I have to make an appointment with the urologist and once the declared good and the catheter removed then I have to schedule surgery for the hernia. Big fun but have no choice. I'm alive but I look and smell like Aqualung and need a shower and shave and then relax.
BTW...my son took the duff tire (tyre) and new one and is getting it mounted for me.
