I had no logic analyser  (It took me a lot of therapy to admit this) but then I got a beautiful HP1615A from the 70's that was used to design the dutch traffic control computers. To bad ROM 0 is dead as a dodo and no copies to find. While working on that I missed ,......you guessed it, a Logic analyser.... To be short, the HP is still dead but I now have a Tek 1241A with a big travel-style tektronix bag with the pods, cables, grabbers, rom and ram packs, manuals options etc)
That was nice when I had to repair a measurement receiver with digital problems. But it could not decode protocols so now I have a zero+ too.  But I needed to test the RS232 too, to see if I could find calibration data. I could not get it to work (no manuals available) No problem, a friend gave me a compass microtest compas network analyser. Very Obsolete but it has a very handy RS232 monitor/analyser and helped me to solve that.

The best thing, a bunch of new toys to play with that are really usable too, and no guilty feelings or the evil eye of SWMBO.

No need for a therapy regarding the logic analyzer ...
I've never used one, and I've never owned one, and I'll most probably never own one, not even an DSO with such capabilities (MSO). I've always regarded logic analyzers quite superfluous, though having done a lot of digital and microprocessor stuff. Most of the digital stuff I had done was debugged with an 2ch scope, switched at some time to 4ch. Enough to resolve timing issues, for logic issues I went always the SW based path (just writing some test routines, that later on were reused for the POST e.g.).

Fools and Horses - You Little Plonker YouTube

Hmmm... interesting historical tidbit in that vid there. My etymology of the term... from personal experience going back to the day of dial-up and BBSes... was always that "plonker" is a prehistoric UseNet term referring to the sound a user makes as he crashes to the bottom of your ignore list. From the context here (a family of would-be horse breeders) I assume in this case it refers to a clump of horse dung, probably dropped in the most embarrassing situation possible?

Plonker was also East London slang for the contents of a used condom in the early 1960s as well apparently (according to my cockney wide boy father in law). Suggests that the person wasn't worthy of existence :)

Yep with the usenet term. Many users got plonked. It was a great way to silence someone by just replying "plonk" :)

Never knew that, do you think that might also have applied to the South East of London as well then as that is where Only Fools and Horses as was set?

Hardly unexpected, given the prior conversation about plonker.  :-DD

Don't validate it by calling it pr0n; that term suggest a level of quality not present in this cheap screen-capture titillation click-bait.

Quite agree, the quality is piss poor to say the least and reminds of the early days of such images on the computer.  :palm:

Ditto, I did the same thing as well, perhaps we need further measures as well as the ones taken to prevent idiots accessing the BSW thread before getting vetted.

I like porn, what man don't, but you certainly don't want it spread out on full display when you not expecting it and also of course it is well known that you're very likely to get viruses from such sites and we had a major outage on Sunday without increasing the odds of having something take the site down through indiscriminate posting of dubious images of such low quality to boot, that was an insult and was more then likely carried out by a Plonk.

I'm suspecting this may be a sitewide attack, as it took admins some time to delete our little putz-plonker and it appears they have now disabled offsite image-linking.

Offsite image-linking is now working; either that was temporary or I muffed up my link earlier.

Possibly some exploit exposed with the recent unauthorized nuke & pave by HostGator.  :palm:

I got the metal piece needed to fix my Tek 7A26. Pictures below, unsure if it's engineering art or atrocity but it does work!

Just a note, these are quite possibly the best pictures I've ever taken.
