No I've got a 465 as well :D

Currently have a 475A, 465, 2235 and TDS210 :)

Wow, impressive list, I only have 2, PM3390B and TDS210 but there are both fully functioning   :-+

Edit, technically 3 if you count a DSO138, also fully functional.

You haven't got a 465B junker there with a good attenuator switch do ya?  :-DD

If only ... the TDS210 is the only scope I have that works properly at the moment.

Do any of you fine TEAers happen to have (or know where I can purchase) the rear panel bumpers for HP 8568/66 spec analyzers? I only have 3 of them between all the units I have, and only one of the ones that clamp the RF unit and the display unit together on the back. I'm happy to paypal a reasonable cost + shipping. Thanks!

What do they look like? Job for 3D printing maybe?

Here's an example. Those plastic things at each corner, and the ones in the middle screw together to secure the halves.

Im not too worried about these feet. On that SA they only come useful for lifting it occasionally since the feet are too short to actually set it down on them with the cables still plugged in. You don't want to bend those rare cables (They are almost worth more than the SA itself).

I do have a whole bag of spare HP feet for the bottom of the case tho. They come useful every so often.

Well this 465 is being a dick. The vertical is exactly half the height it should be.  :--

Bet there's a cracked resistor somewhere  :--

Oh fuck... right, you're in oz. Not like it is over here, where 74xx are like potato chips: Plentiful, if a little greasy. ;)
We've come full circle.  I remember getting my first rounds of 74xx ICs by mail order from the U.S.A.  Heaps cheaper than local.  I can still remember the bank cheques being made payable through The Chemical Bank New York, New York.  The 7400's I have here are from those days.  (Hope they still work.)

I think you should take bean up on his offer. I know it was genuine; just look at it as a chance to Pay It Froward.    :-+
Of the chips of interest, Bean's image only showed 7404's.  They aren't the problem.  I can get one for $3.95 and a 45 minute road trip.  Other chips might be needed - and the only ones I have found in my stash are 7402's.

I feel you. Have several "must-do" projects on at the same time right now; not a lot of time for the "fun". Even the PC modding thing... which is usually fun for me... is turning into a chore due to time pressure and the fact I need stuff off that PC.    :palm:

Not to mention the finicky fan that need to be taken care of if I managed to fix it  ::) , thanks for your excellent details posts in the 2465B thread about that evil fan.  :-+

Glad it helped! Anything to help my 2465 Army grow!  >:D Muahahahahaha!!!

uncertainTEA will they be 10,000mAh as claimed  :-// On a positive note taking a 1A charge without going kaboom  :phew:

Who said Aluminium held together with clamps was a bad conductor kwality job ;D

10AH is about right for a D-size NiMH. No reason to believe they won't come up within 80% of that.

Propagation times are shit and the electrical interface is different if you stick an arduino in there. Be careful with timing sensitive circuits and things that expect TTL.
Already noted:
Yes, the propagation delay will be poor, but in some applications that won't matter at all - and in the ones that do matter, I'll just have to take that into account.  .....  Maybe use my stash of 7400's for input/output buffering.
Remember, this is only to aid troubleshooting.  No way I'd put something like this in as a permanent solution.  Yuck!

I understand that; which is why it's even MORE critical here. What you're suggesting here a is a "Void Comp" test; it ONLY helps you diagnose If it Works.

The purpose of substitution diag is to substitute a Known Good part and see how much further the signal gets before failing. Your Arduino isn't Known good; it's at best Maybe Good but might not work at all.

'Evilbay' 10,000 could be not quite honest  ::) First charge peaked at 3000'ish this cycle is still going at 4500 as of 2am so if they behave like typical NiMh a few more cycles should get them closer to the claimed spec.

Must book another trip to my merchant of pain too :scared:

Well bugger today. Outcome of fluffing around inside scopes = zero. Still the same number of broken scopes.  Anyone want to buy some broken scopes? I'm fed up of broken scopes now.  :-BROKE

Plus also this is a proper screwing and an example of why I don't buy anything from the US. This applies to test gear as well which is of interest to the group...

"made in USA" Elecraft K2 (zero rated for duty):

Direct conversion from USD to to GBP price ...... £620
After screwing by shipping, customs and UPS .... £866 (takes 7 days)
If I buy from euro official reseller ..................... £905 (takes 14 days)
If I get all the options I want ........................... £1333 (takes 7 days)

I did a finger in the air inventory cost for the whole thing in parts and boards cost from JLCPCB and Farnell here in UK.

£385 for all optioned parts delivered to my door tomorrow.

To build the entire receive chain only from scratch is around £55. Most of the fluff is the uC, hardware, boards, panels etc.

And that idea is going down the crapper  :--
