sine Sweep Generator
« on: February 07, 2015, 04:12:31 pm »

I was testing some filters (twin notch and PI low pass ) using the sweep sine function on the analogue discovery and FFT on an digital oscilloscope then realised that the maximum bandwidth of the analogue discovery was 10Mhz.

I have a chinese DDS waveform generator AD9851 and a spectrum swept sine spectrum analyzer.

Im not sure if I could access the sweep sine generator of the spectrum analyzer and use this to drive the filters?
or use the AD9851 DDS to sweep the frequency up to 25MHZ or more if possible? I suspect the distortion and signal to noise ratio on the AD9851 could be a problem in this respect?

What other options do I have regarding the solution to this problem?

Can anyone help with this problem

thanks
