 I got the same TDS5104 scope , HDD was dead :( .
I found various versions of OS install CDs. I got the 063-3759-00, Operating System Restore CD-ROM Set, doesn't seem to be ok with this MB model but managed to install OS somehow + Scope FW 1.2.1 from Tektronix website, I also calibrated the scope...etc.... everything seems ok at lower time bases but scope gives me a windows blue screen when time base set to 400ns or less. I suspect some wrong drivers....
Does anyone know what CD-ROM Set to use with TDS5104 [non B] Intel D815EFV/ D815EPFV 256MB SDRAM and Celeron 1,2Ghz CPU? I would appreciate any help or any idea. Scope is a B040xxx SN.

When you say you calibrated it, did you find a copy of the calibration software, or are you just talking about running SPC?

I have a TDS5054 which originally had an 810E that I upgraded to an 815E to gain support for the 1.4GHz PIII CPU.  I might be able to help you with an OS image that works.  I've had no luck trying to install the drivers on a generic Windows 2000 installation.  It always ends with various device conflicts that I can't resolve.

Andy,
I just went trough the basic SPC, no calibration SW ...I copied the old cal files from original partially damaged HDD C:\TekScope\calibration\  calConst.dat, etc and run SPC afterwards. I assumed those files contained original factory calibration constants, based on date stamps serial..etc...
As you said...I definitely have a driver issue...even I managed to solve device conflicts...My only chance stays in trying a Tek OS.

The factory cal is stored in an EEPROM on the acquisition board.  The files on the hard drive aren't important.  I can share an OS image that I know works on the 815 motherboard.

Same problem on my TDS 5054. My HDD broken-down.

Thank you.
