Sydney calibration lab recommendations
« on: June 10, 2018, 10:18:40 am »
I am looking for recommendations for calibration labs in Sydney for multimeter calibration for my Agilent 34401A and Keysight U1282A and an Advantest R1642 voltage/current generator. Are there any Sydneysiders here who use local cal services and have any recommendations or comments?

I've not used one, but I'm certainly also interested...

You could try Emona
http://www.emona.com.au/Pages/calibrations.html

Basic multimeter cal check price starts from $121 inc GST
All prices here:
http://www.emona.com.au/Calibration/calibration-charges.html

$187 for 5.5 digit, not sure if they have the ability to do greater.

Thanks Dave, I do use Emona for certifying my PAT each year, the last time that I asked they said that they can’t do 6.5 digit meters but maybe I should check back and see if that’s still the case, it looks like they are selling Fluke calibration equipment so maybe they have upgraded their own cal service. I guess that they can do the 60,000 count keysight handheld and maybe the Advantest and they are nearby so I will give them a call.

Hi mate you could try getting in contact with TR Calibrations down near Prestons.

I think I got my 34401A calibrated there for around $200, it was a NATA accredited cal. (adjustments on the ACV ranges were approx another 200 on top, it was a meter I repaired)

My memory could be waaay off though, I can't find the darn quote in my inbox anymore. For the 34401A they just whack it on their Fluke calibrator IIRC.

I've got the report somewhere...if you'd like to have a look at it I can upload the data. (might be a couple days though my garage is a mess atm)
