Suin SS7402 Universal Counter - Go or No Go?
« on: February 01, 2024, 08:52:43 am »
Hi all!

I'm fairly new here (honestly this is my first post :-\ ), but I'm hoping to get some answers from you guys.

I'm about to buy a Suin (has anyone heard of this company?) SS7402 frequency counter. It is offered to me for 400€s.

Is it worth this money? Is there anything to complain about? What about the reliability of these things?

Many thanks in advance!

Martin

User's Guide: https://www.suindigital.com/data/upload/Users-Guide-of-SS7402_201811.pdf

The price seems high for what you're getting.  It's a relatively obscure company out of China and this unit doesn't have the 3rd channel option for frequencies above 200MHz.

That would be my Plan. Never seen teardown of this Model. Maybe I will do some YouTube Video...

For that kind of money you can buy a decent AWG with a built in freq counter

OK - i will not buy this Counter.

I have found an HP 53131a with 3GHz Option and HS Oven for the same price - will go for that.
