Hi Guys,
This is a desperate attempt and trying to get an ESR meter at a reasonable cost in Australia. Any recommendations or advice appreciated.
Thanks
Alan

1. define 'reasonable'
2. change your profile to show your country as oz

Hi
Thanks for that , did not realize my profile was not complete, I would say willing to spend up to about $200 on a unit.
Regards
Alan

Do you have any opinions on the Lutron LSR-9183?

There's kriptons great references, already listed.
Also there's the copy of bob parker's unit - used to be sold by dick smith before DS became just another trumped up retail store
http://www.anatekcorp.com/blueesr.htm
and an analog display one, kit available from aztronics - adelaide
http://www.users.on.net/~endsodds/esr.htm
and the commercial ones, but they will cost a lot more then your budget.

Proper LCR meters aren't that expensive, if you don't mind Chinese manufacture:
CEM DT9935 or UNI-T UT612, both cost about USD150.00, including free shipping.
