Well, they probably are unwilling to ship to the US since the shipping costs are so high. I shall pick one up next time i visit china which should be in a few months.

I don't understand what do you want mean. Please could you be a little more graphic?
Do you have connected a probe? Apparently so. And how?
Do you have near FM stations? Because this signal appears to be around 100MHz.

I don't mean by this that this noise is not coming from the oscilloscope, despite being shielded. I prefer to think that this "noise" comes from the outside.

what I expect to measure is such a  ripple power supply module, and it's output is about DC 6Vpp.

Just shows everyone how only a 50 Ohm load can dissipate the spurious waveform content.
A mean ripple of 0.13 mV is quite low.
What is the ripple with a "working" load? (50 Ohm & 1M inputs)

Well, heck, if any of the Siglent guys in this thread (Herman, Tautech, Farari, etc) know who to ask for a unit for review - and if Siglent is interested in getting reviewed, I'd like to know myself. I'd love the chance to review one - and I've actually posted 3 online reviews of different DSOs: the Rigol DS2000 series, the Hantek DSO5000B series, and the Owon SDS7102.

Yeah, no one has done anything in-depth on the DS1074Z - everything posted has been very simple - and covering the same ground. I haven't seen any real tests of it's capabilities - I don't think anyone has even posted video of all 4 channels running with different signals  ;D

Noted. Any things you want to see in the video? I plan to cover the serial decode/triggering, the various advanced triggers, and a look at the intensity grading with a multi layered signal. ANy others you want to see?

I do not have the equipment to do any in-depth testing to the capabilities of the scope.  :palm:
I will however try to answer any queries about the GUI and UI that may arise.

It have so much unfinished things/features in GUI/UI that perhaps if we look today its "features" they are soon obsolete and just give wrong imagine to potential customers.

But what I have inspected, HW feels and looks good.

Soon I will show some internal......

I thought the model had already been on sale for awhile in China - is that incorrect?

rfloop has beaten me to it but will post my results anyway.  :palm:

My unit is the same build and firmware as rfloop

Memory depth has 8 fully user definable settings:

With all channels on:
Acquire settings: Mem Depth: Default 14M. Select by button toggle or multi-function knob.
14M         7M         1.4M          700K        140K         70K        14K        7K

Waveform refresh rate @ 1mS/div is 66.5 @ all Memory depth settings.

  we probably have a ever-shifting updates scenario and some in-depth test results may change hopefully for the better.

Very interesting... but I don't understand how they're keeping the waveform update rate constant. Is it possible to decimate/post-process, for example, 945kB (14k * 67.5) and 1.8GB (28M * 67.5) at the same speed?

What happens if you perform an experiment such as the following?

I sent my DS2000 a series of 50ns pulses spaced 100us apart, in Normal acquire mode (not Peak Detect - which would obviously void the experiment), and saved an image while running using 14M sample depth - and then 14k. You can see the differing results when decimating from a larger or smaller sample size.

Try as I might with the inbuilt 25MHz AWG running at max pulse rate & min pulse width I could not replicate anything like your Rigol.
All waveforms captured showed pulses for full width of screen.

Well, something's odd. As mentioned, if the Siglent can do ~67 wfrm/s when it's capturing and processing over 1.8GB of samples per second (28M sample depth), why can't it go faster when it's capturing and processing only 0.00025% of that amount (7k sample depth)?

Now with inbuilt AWG running at 5 MHz and 52 nS pulses.
Note the Current sample (at this faster timebase setting) in top right corner now showing 28 Kpts where previously 14 Kpts. Acquisition memory depth still set @ 14 K.

I have not seen 28 M shown on screen so i wonder how the memory depth is allocated.
