BEV of course. Cars with smoke exhaust pipes - go to museum. In Finland quite all electric power is made using nuclear, wind, solar and water.

Has anyone tried the devices yet? Consider buying a SPS5083X.

Welcome to the forum.

Bit early for anyone to have these yet as officially they have only been released a few days and a European beta tester I know has only had his for a few weeks.
I'm getting a 60A one to play with but it's some weeks away yet.  :(

Could you be more specific about your needs and expected use cases, please?

There are many things that are known: these are switchers, they have adaptive power envelope (more current at lover voltages), they are generally meant for ATE and that type of use (most of them have fixed output posts on the back, also needed for currents in question), they are very compact for the power they provide. They can be used in lab for general use, but front panel is not optimized for that kind of work (not numeric keypad and such). They also have (in addition to standard SCPI control and web server control) an old school voltage /resistance voltage/current and on/off control and monitoring of channels. They also support sequence programming.  They seem to have serious thermal design, made for continuous work under full load, mounted in rack.
There are many interesting features: choice of priority of CV or CI control loop, slew rate strategy and channel control, selectable downprogrammer, channel sequencing, several protection circuits.
They can also control output resistance of voltage source.

They seem quite interesting.. There are no manuals published yet, but as soon as they are, there will be much more details there.

Same manuals are also public available from Siglent domestic web sides but only with chinese language.

Because product is officially published for purchase, also these must be public. (Who buy a pig packed in a sack)

Preliminary User Manual
( reason for my previous cancel was: this is some kind of preliminary, look pages 86, 87 chinese text in some setup images. Also not officially published at this time so careful with possible errors )

Data sheet

SPS5000X Manuals and data sheets etc can also find here. (Siglent global main sides)

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll wait a bit until the devices are fully tested.

I found the user manual here.

But not what my SPS5042X arrived with....now updated.

First impression is how small the front panel is at just some 140mm (5 1/2") square yet they are quite long ~400mm (16").
The twin smart fans could run a touch slower when output = OFF and this has been requested as an improvement.
Now to make some 60A leads......

You do realize we expect to see photos of welding with an electrode....
60 amps should be enough for thin ones...
