Unified Keygen Script for Siglent thread here - in the first post you will see code box with the Python script that generates the keys you need. If you aren't familiar with Python or don't have a programming environment just copy that code and paste it into
this online compiler.The method used for the SDS800X HD is the
same one that has been used for the SDS1104X-E scope. You can access the SCPI on the SDS800X HD by putting it on your network and browsing to the IP address assigned to the scope.
Edit - alternatively, here is a
link to a script setup for the SDS800X-HD. Edit line 53 with your scope's ID, and line 58 with your scope's SN and then click RUN at the top of the script. Before continuing, enter MCBD? into the SCPI command box on the scope web page and ensure that the result displayed matches the 70M code generated by the script - because the SDS804X HD is a 70 MHz scope, this ensures that the script is working correctly. You can then proceed to upgrade your scope to 100 MHz and finally 200 MHz if desired. I understand it is suggested to upgrade the bandwidths incrementallly 70->100->200 rather than jumping straight to 200 Mhz. Also gho to the Util menu on the scope and do the Reset to factory defaults after each BW upgrade step. When you are done, let the scope warm up and run a full calibration.
The option keys are entered on the scope screen itself, not the web page. I don't recall if you use AWG or FG for the function generator key, but one will work and the other won't lol (I think it's AWG). The MSO or 16LA option is for the logic analyzer.
I would copy and paste the keys into a text file somewhere and add your SN and ID for future reference - that way if you ever want to return the scope to it's original condition you have all the information and don't need to run the script again.

The SDS800X HD is slightly different webpage controls, but the idea is the same as the SDS1104X-E.
I just read the manual and PDF for these. Are these oscilloscopes or a specialized computer that happens to display waveforms?

SDS800X HD in zoom mode with Fixed Offset for Vertical Ref behaves strangely (1.1.3.6/3.8.12 FW)
Utility > Menu > System Setting > Reference Pos > Vertical Ref [Fixed Position/Fixed Offset]
Setup - square wave 0V/3V input signal, edge trigger at 0.3V. Make signal full screen, then enable
zoom mode and try to focus on the very top part of square wave. With vertical reference set to
"Fixed Offset" zooming vertically "moves down" zoom box in level (!) and requires vertical offset adjustment.
Is it expected behavior?

I don't see how this is useful.
IMO Vertical Ref option should not affect zoom mode at all and zoom mode should work as it currently does with
"Fixed Position" setting.

No, before X-E.
IIRC SDS1202X-E was first with free decoding ~2016 when it was released. Later all models offered all the basic decodes free, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN and LIN.
It was. I reported this in post #1525 back on June 7th. Nailed the timing too.

As for the MSO, I’ve always felt a dedicated LA beats the built-in option for similar reasons.
You should avoid getting Siglent gear from Aliexpress, it may not have a warranty. If you buy it from an authorized reseller, you usually get a 3-year warranty.

As to the SAG1021, I agree. I have the SDG1032 with "improvements" and that fills my coupled AWG needs.
Currently I use dedicated LA solutions too, but I can see the benefit to having the digital and the analog signals on the same screen and synchronized. There are some cheap after-market solutions for my SDS2104X-P though (I think). I might pull the trigger on one of them some day.

$165 may be reasonable for what it is, but if the rumor holds and they increase the price it becomes less so.
In NA the license, which is no longer needed for any AWG, but was needed with a stand alone unit too, is/was $115.
I wonder what the new price for SAG will be, or even if they set a new price?

The same issue remains with the newest FW 1.1.3.8.
Added screenshots (with descriptions) of the vertical zoom in
Fixed Offset and
Fixed Position Vertical Ref modes. Screenshots show a sequence of zoom ins and manual offset adjustments, trying to get to the top part of square wave. Observe position of zoom box in top part of the screen - clearly
Fixed Offset has some issues while
Fixed Position works.
Also, I am not sure I like the way scaling of Reference waveforms works while not in zoom mode (Vertical Ref does not affect Reference waveforms), but at least it is not buggy.
