Yep, as stated I was pleased that the new firmware was available just in time. Still a bit surprising how this slipped through QC in the first place -- must have been a last-minute change which was made with insufficient regression testing.
Truth is, fancy as they are, I personally find multi-touch gestures on screen are not so convenient.
After using this platform for few years now, I use screen to:
- select channel, math, before changing something. (single touch).
- pan waveforms left/right up/down. (single touch).
- move cursors or screen elements (single touch).
- move zoom selection (single touch).
- operate menus (single touch).
- Enter text (single touch).
Multi touch pinch moves to change timebase or vertical are bit uncomfortable for me. You need to either use both hands (better) or twist your hand and pinch/stretch fingers on one hand in position that is not natural to me.
I use knobs for that. That is why we have both.
So, for instance, I could have used that scope for months and never notice.
But it should work and it does now. As you said, probably some detail with touch controller driver parameters or something.
