I do prefer WIFI in a modern scope in 2024.
I like the ability to have access to the web or your local network from the scope and sling data & files around as you please.
just as the ability to record video, and pictures and just open cloud storage sites or even here fx EEVblog from the scope and share it.
Not to mention the streaming ability for wireless control, but it needs to be with a fast update-rate for it to be tolerable.
The ability to have a browser on the scope is quite useful and access data libraries, cloud storage, etc... so many things are browser-based, the biggest problem is when the browser is ancient and limits the interaction with lack of new updates.
Wireless WIFI interface through iOS or Android or Windows app can be quite useful..On my current scope the delay is around 0.25 to 0.35s but the update rate is quite fast..
Android Tablet wifi streamed, with scope in roll mode.

- In 2024, I do prefer to have WIFI in a modern scope, just as HDMI output also should be a norm, but none of these things are dealbreakers as per se, and I personally use the HDMI output less than I thought I would - but it is nice to have it in regards to having nada.
the WIFI aspect also makes wireless use with projectors a seamless experience when you can simply go to fx Google Play Store on the projector Android OS & download the scopes wifi stream-app and control it on the projected display - though you're adding quite a delay on top if you're using fx air mouse - but for a presentation and likewise, it does work as intended.
