Warranty replacement ?

I suspect it's the same fan as used in SDS11/1204X-E of which just one have we replaced under warranty as it was squealing like a tomcat.
If you can get a short video of it and capture the noise Siglent will replace it.

Hello, you should open the Siglent and look at the fan manufacturer code, then try to find the datasheet  ::)

Hmmm, maybe better if phone was nearer to fan.
Unfortunately not long outta warranty.  :(

IMO you need reasonable airflow due to these being 2 GSa/s HW.
Let me hunt out an old thread with fan model #'s and such.

Edit
Found but not much about the model used:

If required I can give further info from my warranty replacement bin and sometimes model #'s are visible through instrument grilles.

And noise level comparison to OEM fan ?
Any chassis/mounting mods performed ?

Doing noise level would have been a good idea, but the old fan had already died.  Frankly, I think the new fan is only slightly quieter based on qualitative listening.
Of course the Noctua connector was different, so I had to cut the connector off of the old fan and solder on to the new fan.  Noctua provides rubber mounts.  I should have used them...prolly would have made a difference.  Maybe I will tear it down and try.
Getting into the scope is very straightforward...an easy repair.

This seems to be the norm in that the OEM fans are not too bad and there's little to be gained from installing any similar spec fan.

As mentioned in another thread I cut the metal fan grille from my SDS1104X-E which barely made any appreciable difference which indicates mounting mods could be of better noise reduction assistance.
Please report if you find such.

Never been inside a 2000X-E however as the case format is same used in the 2ch 1000X-E it should be easy peasy.
