Siglent SDM3055 to SDM3055-SC Conversion
« on: September 19, 2023, 01:38:24 pm »
Has anyone had success converting the SDM3055 to the SDM3055-SC?

It seems strange that you can't buy the SC1016 and insert it into a regular SDM3055.

As it seems you can't buy the SC1016 on its own, has anyone reversed engineered this (schematic or gerbers)?

Any help much appreciated.

In another thread there were pictures of the SC and non SC version. The normal version has a few part on the main PCB not populated and the cables to the connector PCB are soldered directly to the main PCB.  So there is no easy conversion and this would need soldering to the main PCB.

Not worth the effort when getting a SDM30**-SC model initially is cheaper.

SC1016 is available as a spare part however a non SC model does not contain the supporting HW.
