Siglent SDM3055 - stuck on boot screen

My device SDM 3055 is 7 years old, it worked fine. I haven't used it for about a year, but now, after turning it on, it freezes on the download screen. I need help restoring the device, help me.

Can I ask if this old meter has ever had its firmware updated ?
If No, it must be returned to Siglent for specialized recovery and calibration.

Yes, it was updated, but a very long time ago, about 3 years ago, and I do not remember the firmware number.

If you have updated it as you said, it is obvious that there is U-disk recovery in the firmware.
2017/4/14 FW 1.01.01.19 1. Added U disk recovery function.

tautech, Thanks! My "dinosaur" came to life and is back in operation, it was version 1.01.01.25, now it has been updated to the latest version. It's working well so far.

Hello, I encounter the same problem. my SDM3055 was not powered up for a few months and today it's stuck on boot screen. I think I already upgraded it to version 1.01.01.19 a few years ago but I'm not sure.

Please can you send me the recovery files.

It's the second time it happened to me.
The first time I contacted SIglent, and they sent ma a link to a "SDM3055 Recovery by U disk.zip" file that i downloaded, put its files on a 2 GB FAT32 USB disk, and was able to recover my unit from that.
I then installed a more recent firmware (may be the 1.01.01.20...).
But it just happened again yesterday : freeze at boot screen, after the unit stayed without power cable connected for some days.
The bad new is that the recovery USB disk trick don't seems to work anymore ! The 3055 just read quickly the USB disk at startup, but no recovery happens, and it stays frozen...
So what to do ? Maybe you have some useful informations to help me with this challenge ?

You were very fast to send me new USB recovery files (different from those sent to me by Siglent, some years ago), who worked like a charm !
I just installed the latest 3055 firmware (the 1.02.01.27R2, followed by the 1.02.01.28, hoping this behaviour will not come back in some months/years.
I will keep an eye on this forum, also. Bye.

It seems my SDM3065X has joined the list of frozen boot screen devices.  I haven't used much of my equipment lately, and keep it off using a power-strip to save from things like lightning strikes.

It should already have the latest firmware file that I put on it a few months back: SDM3065X_V3.01.01.12R1.ADS

A memory that would need a battery or a goldcab is not in my knowledge in the SDM.... ?!?

Yes, and it is called NAND-flash and it used for storage almost exclusively nowadays. What is needed to use this kind of memory for long term storage is error-correction (redundant) data and regular refresh of the data. If this isn't implemented correctly, a device is likely to fail due to the flash contents getting corrupted over time.

I wouldn't have thought that from Flash memory.
Thought that some cells could eventually be damaged by a large number of writing processes, but not from a standstill. 
That horrified me now.
