ad9910 evaluation board

hi guys i brought a ad9910 evaluation as signal generator of many diffrent waveforms to help make sure my scope is with in calibration i have been going over some of the sample files for ram mode which text file in decimal binary or hex but i can't under stand how i can write a file to generate a square or triangle or sawtooth  or time marking pulse can someone please go over the process with me as don't full understand  adjustble phase amplitude and frequency shape waveforms if some could help me out i would be really greatful
