Hi all

I need some good scope with an logic analyzer  for uart, spi, i2c  etc...   "protocols decoding"  we need to sniff out communications and sometime do a decoding

I need huge memory depth ...


Are they a good team,  or you could / can suggest  something else


All combined they seems  pretty good in pricing,  not wanting to go with Keysight (they kinda let us down in other equipment(s))


Any user's there ??  feedbacks  pro's and con's from an user point of view

Since i'm in Canada  i need to find calibration facilities  near me in Quebec

Do you need to have analog and digital data time correlated on the same screen?
If not, a USB LA is more pleasant for large captures IMHO, because it uses the big PC screen.

The problems i try to resolve, is getting rid of a pico scope, an salae logic analyser and other gimmicks in one kit, to much stuff to handle  .. and the R&D guys are going nuts  loll


We do some can bus too (forgotten this)


@ voltsandjolts    yes and no,  but   i think with a bigger logic analyzer we could try other things :  say an LA5016 ??  but we miss analog signals ...  if i remember in some case we have to be in sync   analog / digital wise

Just a note, logic probe, integration and workflow is same for all touch scopes from Siglent.. So once learned, you can work same on a mix of devices..
If there are some questions, you know where to ask!

SDS2000X Plus will give you that as best in class and better than the rated 200 Mpts suggests as these DSO's use two ADC's each with this 200 MPts memory depth so with careful channel assignment you can maintain max memory on 2 channels and only be divided down when using 2 channels on the same ADC.

I have a 2202X-E and the SLA1016. I have used them together only 3-4 times and I can say they work nicely. If you enable many digital traces, you have to make them very small to fit in the screen together with analog traces: a larger screen would help.
I have tried RS232 decoding and it's good, with useful features like reverse logic polarity.

Certainly and the main reason why privately after coromonadalix PM'd me suggested he looked at a 2kX Plus model with their 10" display and MSO probe on promotion. However be it a 2kX-E or 2kX Plus, they both offer webservers so you have the ability to port to whatever screen size you like.
