Where to order 1x-10x probes in Canada ?
« on: January 28, 2021, 07:44:08 pm »
I only have the 1 good set of Fluke probes, and 1 set of cheap probes just broke already, I should be hanging the probes over something, not letting them twist up in a box.

What sort of price should I be paying for a few 200MHz probes in Canada/US? I have a few oscilloscopes, and only 4 working probes, and my Fluke 1 was 2nd hand (at least) and missing most the stuff for it.

What was the model of the existing probes?

I often go with Mouser, Newark or digikey just to keep it simple. At least use their searches to narrow down available current model numbers and data sheets. Then search around for the best prices from there.

Some of those "cheap" probes are just fine, you can abuse a whole box of them for the cost of a good set. Depends on your requirements. I'd be interested in a good quality 200Mhz set too if you come across a good deal somewhere.

Joeqsmith, who is a member of EEVblog, did a review of the Hantek PP-150 probes and found that they worked up to 350 MHz. even though they are sold as 100 Mhz. probes.  You can see his YouTube review at this link.

You can find them on Amazon Canada for $22 Cdn. each

It was 1 of my Siglent probes, under a year old. I need to play around with it see if its the cable, or connection. Eitherway even if I can't fix it, I can still re-use some of it at least.

Yeah so this time I want heavy more durable probes, so probably more expensive.

I have a parts order I was putting together on Newark, I should check there too.
