Hameg HM604 selling advice
« on: August 09, 2017, 09:39:25 am »
Hi,

Just looking for some sound advice on my trusty old Hameg HM604 which I have have since new in  1990, though  only lightly used as it was only needed for the calibration of a particular works machine and latterly hobby use.

Its in working  order with all leads, manual and case, and have tried selling it on a couple of free UK sites with little response apart from one time waster.

Even tried to put it for sale on a vintage electronics forum where they were clearly eager for such devices, yet the moderator would not allow it as  I was not a regular.   :-// :palm:

Seems you can see  the HM604s being sold on ebay for well over £100, though I don't use ebay for selling and am rather reluctant to send such an old  instrument via couriers.

Equally I'm loathed to sell it for a too low price only to see it being resold soon after, and though expect there are some genuine needy cases for beginners looking for one, as the buy/sell forum shows, many are just taking the wee-wee.

Was thinking about £75 collected from near Leeds UK,  is that a fair offer ?

Seems very fair to me and this thread should be in the Buy/Sell board.

Don't know if you can report your own post and get the thread moved but report mine and ask.

Good luck finding a good home for it.  :)
