Looking for a source for these banana spring loaded test plugs
« on: October 25, 2020, 05:46:11 pm »
Hello Everyone,
I’m getting back into electronics repair and setting up my test bench. I used to have a half dozen of these very useful test banana spring loaded plugs but can’t locate them....so I’m scouring the web for a source but so far have come up empty handed. I’m not even sure what to call them so could be part of the problem. In case it needs explaining, the black tips push in and open the slot below on main body which allows one to quick connect a wire or lead.

I’ve included a photo of some I managed to find but it led me to another dead end.
If anybody knows what these are actually called or knows a source for them, or can suggest an alternative type banana plug, I’d be very much appreciative.

Thanks for tour help!
Gary

Stäubli KLS4
Stäubli SKLS4

WAGO 215

Schützinger SDK 502 and SDK 799

Pomona 73090
Pomona 73091

Pomona (and others) also makes some screw-type binding post adapters:
Pomona 2894
Pomona 1286

I also use Pomona 1825 banana plugs, whose screw is so accessible that I use them for temporary connections, and they cost far less than the spring loaded kind.
