Rohde & Schwarz URI (1950s)
« on: January 30, 2022, 11:09:39 am »
Since this forum is about test equipment....

This week I acquired two R&S URI meters from the mid-1950s. Trying to prevent them from ending up in a mancave of someone who has no idea what these instruments actually are for...

Today, I tested them and... Immaculate! All measurement functions work as expected. Little or no reading error. One even came with an HF Taskkopf, a 250MHz active probe with a miniature tube inside. As for a quick first test, also this one seems to work perfectly!

Housing is nice too... They come as “Normkasten Größe 35”, and they have feet on the bottom and recessions on the top that makes them stackable. Wish all current half rack size gear was like that ;-)
