If you download the Analog Discovery software you can use it for free on your PC sound card.

I haven't tried it but I'm fairly sure it will do Bode plots up to whatever frequency your sound card supports.

(eg. 192kHz sample rate)

I had both DHO800 and SDS800X HD

While we're here, how do the supplied probes compare?

I have had a Lite-On PSU, as it was shipped with DHO924S. Not very best PSU, but for some reasons I decided to do Riso (insulation tester) measurements between PE and output ground. Normal ohm meter showed 1 MΩ. 500 V test gave same result. 1 kV ended with fail - 1 MΩ become 30 kΩ.

If something is powered from grid, at least in Europe, I expect this to handle 2 kV surge without any problem. Anyway, there are some photos from teardown and small reverse engineering of PE-GND path.

Both capacitors are 100 nF, but second one became more like a resistor with value depending on a moon phase.

Very few people but 2 channel models. It's possible nobody here has one.

Less than £299 including delivery and VAT from Banggood right now (DHO804).

I wanted a portable scope.. really wanted to buy another Siglent but no HDMI and no powerbank option. So a DHO804 it is!

It’s impossible that nobody here owns a two-channel DSO.

Hello, I have already answered you in the thread you asked about. My conclusion is that activating the trigger does not influence the maximum sampling frequency, only activating the two channels divides that factor in half. Greetings

This is very likely, but I'm not going to garantee it because I don't own one.

Every scope can be modified (another PSU) or powered from a battery->AC inverter.

Yeah, but the Rigol works off a pocket-sized phone charger.

Yeah, but the Rigol works off a pocket-sized phone charger.

You think that other scopes can't be modified to do the same thing?

Sure, but you don't have to modify the Rigol.

Unless you require a Line trigger.

Umm -- if you have line voltage around to trigger on, you might as well use it to power the scope?

Wait, so this Rigol does not support line trigger? Because I can't remember ever using it.

Hello,

many scopes with line triggers can measure the mains frequency. This is sometimes quite interesting in increasingly unstable networks.

Best regards

Yes, when they have a mains supply into the scope to couple line frequency from.
You can't get that from an external wallwart power supply.

Hello friends, I know it is strange question, did anybody open the 2 channel scope, and is there a way to add another 2 channels (BNC) if the firmware is upgraded to 900 series and 4 colors of the buttons are lighting, I bought the 2 channel by mistake and don't want to buy another honestly
thanks

There is no frontend for the fourth channel, but 3 channels can be made.

This is my first post.

I was thinking of buying the Rigol DHO804, so I was looking at various posts here.

I saw a post on Rigol Japan's X on September 6th that said,

"RIGOL plans to release new oscilloscopes and signal generators between October and November.

If you fill out the following survey, you will be the first to receive product information."

Is this post fake?

Or is Rigol releasing a new oscilloscope?

If so, I think I'll wait until October to buy it.

(I'm using Google Translate.)

For me, lack of source code of used software under GPL licence is a big pain in the ... scope. I sent them many e-mails and only thing I received, was a SMTP confirmation of received message (most likely sent by human, not by software). If they will not send me this code, my next shopping and recommendations will be far away from a Rigol.

Good luck buying an oscilloscope if that's a deal breaker.

Are You suggesting that other scopes doesn't have something that Rigol can do?
