Decoding signals in Rigol Ultrascope software
« on: November 27, 2023, 11:43:06 pm »
I'm measuring RS232 coded signal with my scope and then viewing the signal through Rigol Ultrascope software on my PC. My goal is to read the decoded characters. The Scope itself has no trouble decoding the signal and showing characters, but I'm having trouble with reading the characters on the Ultrascope software as there are no clear way to enable decoding. Am I missing something or does the Ultrascope software simply lack the decoding functionality (which would be super annoying |O)?

What oscilloscope do you have? Some are supported under Sigrok, which can run on the PC. Another option might be to use the remote web control if your model supports it.

Most people don't use Ultrascope for anything.

The best way to decode on PC is usually to get a USB logic analyzer, they can be had for as little as $10.
