Hi Guys
Straight to the Point...
I Own a Rigol 2072A Scope, 70MHz (Upgraded to 300MHz + All Trial Options Converted to Licensed Options)
[Note: if anyone is reading the above statement and STILL wants to know how to Upgrade their scope
..... Yes, Feel Free to PM me and i will help you.. it does work]
But, Let's try to keep this Thread Seperate from the Upgrade Thread (God knows it's big enough and confusing enough),
and Let's (For the Most part) Stay on this topic.
Now.. Considering the Scope was able to be reverse engineered to achieve such a cool upgrade
[THANKS TO THE EFFORTS OF CYBERNET / MADCROW / ZOMBIE28 / KAPPES BUUR / HOOVERPHONIQE / ANDYTURK] and all the rest
I THINK I HAVE A SIMPLER REQUEST THAT THESE GUYS CAN PROBABLY FIGURE OUT
Or.. Anyone else for that matter
MY QUESTION IS THIS.....
HOW DO I CHANGE THE DEFAULT RIGOL SCREENSAVER TO A PICTURE OF MY CHOICEi thought it would be cool if we could do that
Thus far i know that i can go into
UTILITY / SYSTEM / SCREEN / SCREENSAVER (vALUE = Default)
i'm guessing that just like any device, their would be a rigol.png or rigol.jpg in there somewhere
and the fundamental basics of this is...
if we substitute our own photo (to.. of course comply with the required paramaters of the scope)
we would effetively be able to inject a custom screensaver
Picture it.. a Scope with a Cool Highlight Green Matrix Screensaver.......... sWEET.
so.. Anyone , got any ideas on how to accomplish this
![Huh? ???](https://www.eevblog.com/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif)
I Doubt this is even close to being considered Illegal or a Hack by Rigol's Standards.
adding a screensaver is hardly a hack.
Now, I've tried loading a random Picture (About 1MB) Format = .jpg
my idea was that if i go to ..
UTILITY / SYSTEM / SCREEN / SCREENSAVER (vALUE = Default)
And where the DEFAULT Value is Greyed out
it may become available if it detects a Picture File on a USB stick
therefore an Import Option may present itself
However, I can't seem to Change the Default Value Under "Screensaver"
I"m going to go back and have a look at the upgrade .GEL file that was used in the Upgrade to 300MHz
and see if that reveals anything
in the meantime, guys...
Feel Free to shout out ideas to help me out on this.
Thanks ahead of time, and BE COOL
i thought it might be cool to put a matrix screensaver or a BSOD screensaver on the scope LOL
