rigol scope issues

I am trying to use my rigol scope using ultrascope,it says runtime error 48 and VISA33.Dll missing,how do i fix it?,its a win10 64 bit pc and i am using the native serial port at 9600 baud.

What are you trying to achieve?

VISA/ultrascope is the worst possible way to do anything. Any sort of scripting or programming can be done much better usinng SCPI.

i am trying to make it display its screen on my pc,it was ok in win7 but wont work in win 10,is there a better program,did rigol make a version of ultrascope for win 10 64 bit?.

well my new adaptor usb to rs232 came not on starting ultrascope i get the message : runtime error 48 file not found visa 32.dll,ive downeloaded the dll and put it in the ultrascope directory also win 10 system,now what?

I think the thread title is misleading. You have a Windows problem, not specifically a rigol scope problem. When I popped into this thread I thought "That scope is trashed if it's showing a runtime error", but of course it isn't.

So... perhaps better asked in the OS thread since it's a Windows app?

PLS @OP  do some corrections

And   win10  with compatibility modes can run your software  ... unless there is  drivers problems etc ... there is no reason it would not work

i do occasionally use ultrascope, no bugs so far ... but  seems  sluggish in the design

Sometimes just copying the dll won't work and you need to register it. But its easier to just use the correct installer to ensure everything is intalled.

I can confirm the current Rigol ultra stuff works fine on a PC under current Win 10 64 bit OS. Over Ethernet and USB anyway.

Uninstall everything related and install latest UltraSigma. It seems it's a base suite that provides all the components which are necessary for other rigol apps. Then install ultrascope. It's not ideal but I did not notice any problem with installation.

Rigol, install ultra sigma  and after ultra scope ....  should work,  using it right now ?

done that but still trowing the error up,also does the same in win7 compatibility mode.
