Don't know if possible, but maybe your app could try several times automatically to establish communication? For instance 3x with a definite
time interval and the attempt to get an reponse from the scope each time.

@Gunb - Currently my software doesn't handle the connection attempts itself - it's all handled by the NI-VISA DLL. But I'll look into the possibility of specific commands to the DLL to force re-attempts at WLAN connection when I next have time to work on it.
