Itech publishes an SCPI programming manual for 85xx models: IT8511+/IT8511A+/IT8512+/IT8512A+/ IT8512B+/IT8512C+/IT8512H+/IT8513A+/ IT8513B+/IT8513C+/IT8514C+/IT8514B+/ IT8516C+. The first revision of that manual is dated: May 4th, 2018.

My IT8512A+ from January 2015 running firmware 1.12 doesn't seem to understand SCPI commands.

Does anyone have experience or a clue since which firmware version the IT8512(A+) e-load is having SCPI support? And whether firmware is (user) upgradable?

PS Itech did a rush job on that SCPI for 85xx manual, the PDF still includes "it8800" as title in the meta data.

I have the same unit, also v1.12. Would be nice if it understands SCPI, the windows software is crap :palm:

Batronix sells it now: https://www.batronix.com/shop/load/ITECH-IT8512A+.html

In their manual they write about SCPI, https://www.batronix.com/files/ITECH/IT8500+/IT8500+_manual_en.pdf.
Apparently you should be able to select it via System menu, in there should be a protocol option, which is named after the RS232. But I don't see that.
They don't mention any firmware updates.
