Rigol DS1104Z-S Firmware Help

Hi All,

I bought a DS1104Z-S around a year ago and I am trying to obtain a firmware update for it, it seems that the current firmware version on the scope is ancient and missing features, and also has a bug that causes the keypad to completely lockup if a certain order is followed (Ch1 On, Ref On, Ch1 Off). It has firmware 00.02.00.SP1 on it, but I believe the latest is 00.04.00.SP2. I have requested a firmware update from Rigol but never heard back from them, any chance anyone here would be kind enough to share the update if they have it?

You could try this until you find the SP2 version:

You're thinking of the 50MHz model. 

Rigol introduced the 100MHz and 70MHz versions of the 1000Z family first.

Might want to try the US site's Firmware Update Request page, and see if that doesn't get you positive results.

Correct, this scope has been on the market for over a year now, the new model is the exact same machine, just bandwidth limited to 50MHz.

I did use the firmware request page a while back but I never got a response. I contacted the tech support line directly as suggested by a friend and I was emailed a link to the latest firmware this morning.

For the record, as of writing the latest version is: 00.04.01.SP2 (or as in the file iteself, 00.04.01.02.00)

I am not sure I want to forward the link as it seems to be tied to the ticket that was opened, which is linked to my device serial number.
