E4402B can’t use option 1DR
« on: January 13, 2022, 06:16:40 pm »
I recently picked up an Agilent E4402B SA with option 1DR (narrow resolution bandwidth). The licensing seems to be installed, as the system reports that it does possess this option.

My challenge is that I haven’t been able to get the Res BW under 1 kHz.  When I step the Res BW down, it stops at 1 kHz and flags the Res BW indicator with a ‘#’ symbol – which apparently indicates the value is now uncoupled. But, it doesn’t reduce the Res BW below 1 kHz.  |O

I’ve reduced the span appropriately, so the unit should be able to make this change. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

I have the same problem. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the license key. Did you manage to resolve this?
