That's an SX-70.  That particular handpiece uses the older style tips without the long thin extension on the bottom. You can use the 1121-0213 tips and that style.  You won't be able to use the 1121-0626 tips and tips of that style.

Yep .. was afraid i could not use the better style tips .   1121-0626 .

If your MBT is generating a good vacuum, it is worth it to pick up a new handpiece when you have the budget.  They come up fairly cheap on ebay from time to time.  An SX-90 or SX-100.  Be sure it is SENSATEMP.  They can be particularly cheap if they are missing the vacuum hose, filter and attachments (I've never understood where these items go) and you can reuse the ones from your SX-70.

Yep might look in to that ..

Comparad to my cheap chinese one ..  is really like the removal of the solder .. much better dessign .

I'm not sure about the MBT SR-2 if it wil work on  SX90 or SX100  sensatemp or intelliheat ..

On my sx-70 like you call it's printed  25W  12V dc ?

Ok, can you post a picture of the base unit?  I think the "SR-2" you are seeing is a safety rating.  If you don't see SENSATEMP on the front, it's probably an MBT-200 or similar.  Does it have knobs to adjust the tip temperature, or is there a digital display?  If it is a 200 or older, I've never had one that old.  I think it is compatible with SENSATEMP handpieces but does not monitor the tip heat feedback.  You just twist the knob to where the solder flows and go.

Ok, I've found a couple of references.  That connector is compatible with newer SENSATEMP handsets but ignores the tip temperature feedback.  So you can use an SX-90 and manually control the temperature.  It is interesting to see that the unit was apparently serviced several times, given the tamper paint on the screws.  That's a good sign.  Someone took care of it.  The earlier handsets were not labeled other than "Sodr-x-tractor".  The various revisions 55,60,70 did not change much from one to the next.  I would still say, given the color of the plastic and label, that yours is a 70.  Also, the relative lack of "burn" on the heater makes me doubt that it is as old as a 55.

well it wass in worse condition then on pictures .. the screws even broke off when trying to open it ..

I had to drill some out  ... corroded in the alu housing ..  decided to drill them all out with 2,5mm drill bit and tap some M3 threads in them .
So now all new screws M3 on the front panel .

Only thing that botters me is the voltage and wattage of heating element ..  12V  25watt .
When i put it on my  Voltech power analyzer is draws much more  :-)

65 watt when heating    128watt when pump on  :-)
