Curve tracer - make it or bay it

Hello.. I will be needing a curve tracer for fast troubleshooting. February i am going with new job and will be taking care of big shop's welding machines and some lates and milling machines. I am going on specialization in Austria for a month but after that will be working.
So.. What kind..
- The hole unit with the scope in it (new or second hand)
- Adapter for X-Y scope mode - whole unit
- Cheap kit and build and make it
- design my own and build it from scratch (or to use proven working schematic)
Please - if you suggest something may not be from US, just from EU or Taiwan and the region (they have fastest delivery i have ever seen from that far away - 1 week)
I have laid an eye on something like that:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Curve-Tracer-Adapter-IV-Curve-for-Digital-Analog-Oscilloscopes-110V-220V/302158909479?hash=item465a131027:g:6kIAAOSwA3dYRt9n
This is from US, just for example

All kind of comments and experiences are welcome.

You need to define the voltages, currents, and frequencies of interest.
There are many reasons why you should never use personal equipment at a workplace.

too expensive for what is inside. better make it yourself, or have a super bargain on a used device like huntron (but don't dream they are really out of price)
look at the "ardupus" project, at the bottom of this page
