Rigol DS 1052E Hack

I recently saw Dave's video on the Rigol DS 1052E Hack. Great news!!!

I use a Picoscope laptop based in my automotive job, but the Rigol seems just what I need at home to do my new love interest - electronics!

One problem I am having is trying to get the drivers for the oscilloscope. I have tried on the supplied CD and checked on the Rigol site, but nothing seems to work. I have downloaded Hyperterminal, but it doesn't seem to comunicate where it needs to.

I have read other forums that say others have had similar problems, but I can't see where someone has explained it clearly (like you would speak to a 2 year old!!)

Can anyone help me to get the drivers and anything else I need to get my 50MHz beefed up to the 100MHz scale?

recent news seems that the upgrade can be done simply via USB.
But take your time read everything first, may not work with all HW versions, might depend on your current SW etc.
