Rigol DG1022Z Teardown
« on: September 10, 2017, 11:21:35 pm »
I would like to open a Rigol DG1022Z, but I can't, I feel so stupid to ask how to open it but I don't know how to take the cover a part.
I taked out all the bumpers, I didn't find any other screws around the cover, I tried to slide the cover but it soesn't move at all, tried to take out the front panel but nohing moves....

Any help would be very appreciated.

My be, if someone will give me some suggestions, one day I can open it and I can discover that it can be torned into a 60MHz ... In that case I will post How to do it and probably You will decide to open it  :) :)

I'm quite happy with 25MHz at the moment but a free 60MHz would be nice.

When the warranty is up I will crack mine open. Only bought it four weeks ago though.

So, has anyone actually done a teardown of one of these? Most interested to see.

I had one at one time. There are two screws in the back can you not find them?  :-//

I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

You need to remove the tilting handle. Rotate it 270 degrees until it's vertical above the unit. There's a notch allowing to pull the handle out.

The only other things to remove are the back bumpers and the two small screws underside towards the back. No need to remove the front bumpers.
