Siglent SDS2000X, SCPI, Averaging
« on: November 15, 2023, 03:21:54 am »
I'm writing an automation script for creating a Bode plot using the SDS2000X (non plus) and an SDG2000X.

To get the best dynamic range, I need to use averaging (ACQW AVERAGE,4) and increase this averaging level for every 10dB in attenuation.

However, I cannot for the life of me tell when the scope has captured all of the frames needed to meet the averaging I have specified. The trigger fires as soon as the first frame is captured. I currently wait a computed amount of time before capturing the measurements. But that's slow, inexact, and error prone.

What's the proper way to determine via SCPI that all of the frames specified for averaging are captured?
