Hi, just got my hands on a wavetek model 80 signal gen. Since wavetek was aquired by fluke they released the same just rebranded model: https://us.flukecal.com/products/obsolete-products/8081-function-pulse-generators?quicktabs_product_details=2

It looks good and it does works great on sin up to the 50Mhz. The square and triangular waveforms works ok up to 5Mhz then they turn into almost sinusoidal... But hey I got it for cheap.
The buttons feels great, very tactile. and it has a good set of functions, configurable sweep, AM, FM, PLL, etc.

It does get very warm after 15min or so even when its very noisy fan is going full speed, will change it for shure, haven't tested if that makes it drift.

The UI in general is very intuitive, but I can't find how to use some of the funcionality, wich gets me to the main question: Does anyone has the user/service manual of this gen? There is a donwloadable version in the fluke site but its just the intruduction and nothing else...

Thanks in advance!

Did you find out why it seems hot?

I found a free manual at

Does look a like Racal Dana stuff  ???

The fan has no thermal control ??

These were made by Tabor, Fluke sold them as well.
Note that the fan is critical, as the output amplifier runs REALLY HOT!
