I've had this Fluke 6060B sig gen for 15 years and great performance on all frequencies. July 2023, I discovered the frequencies below 245 MHz were missing. Above 245 MHz every thing was OK. Signal HETL toggles between the two frequency bands.

After much troubleshooting it was discovered the HETL signal path to pin diode CR 210 was 1.6 ohms above ground.

Trouble shooting required cutting some traces with an exacto knife.
The problem located toward the 2.2 UF electrolytic capacitor C276.

The fault turned out to be a whisker had grown from the positive terminal
of the solder joint of C276 to ground. The short remained after the capacitor
was removed. I had to cut the area around the square solder land with an exacto
knife to clear the short. C276 was good and soldered back in place. It took 30+ years
for the whisker to grow across the gap between the Positive terminal of C276 and ground.
