Hioki IM3536
« on: March 25, 2022, 02:15:27 pm »
Does anyone have the Hioki IM3536 LCR meter? If so, how does the instrument "fan noise" compare with other lab instruments?

Thanks in advance.

I recently started using a Hioki IM3536. There is certainly a noticeable noise, but it has not been very distracting for me.

I am curious how loud the LCR is. Perhaps I will borrow a calibrated dB meter and find some data for us.

I will update with my findings!  :D

Ours is much much louder than anything in our lab, significantly outpacing a pair of Siglent SDS2104X+ which many consider to be on the fan loud side, and our Tonghui TH2830 sounds like a whisper compared to the Hioki!!

We did contact Hioki and they were responsive, and compared a video we sent to a IM3536 in their lab in Texas. The result was that one in the Hioki lab produced a similar fan noise.
