Hi

I need to test a product for susceptibility, so mains notches, dips, various frequencies etc.

The product is supplied from 230Vac, so peak voltage is 325V ac, power is 30W, and peak currents are in the range of 1A

The waveforms are generated with a function generator, but I need to boost the 10V output of the function generator to 325V peak (also negative 325V peak)

I could use an audioamplifier, with ac couping on the input, and a 1:10 transformer on the output, but rise/fall times will be bad, and it will be soft

Does anyone know of a +/- 400V amplifier that could be used for this?

Regards

Klaus

Hi Klaus,

If its for use at your work (because of the price), you could have a look at this here:

https://www.itechate.com/uploadfiles/%E4%BA%A7%E5%93%81%E5%8D%95%E9%A1%B5/IT-M7700-en.pdf

I think, it would fulfill all your needs.

Thanks for the link. It covers my needs for sure. It is for work, but will probably not be using it so often

On the other hand, having it, I can do a standard test every time I do a power supply, so I think your suggestion is good, instead of fudging with equipment not meant to do the job

Crap. I just see now it can do DC mode also. Just last week I bought a DC voltage supply, and for the same price, I could have had this one with ac capability also....

We have one made by California Instruments.  Arb is built-in.

I've also used AE Techron.

Return the DC-only... 8)

At work we got two supplies from Pacific Power - It´s overwhelming what you can do with them, we lived the last years behind the moon.. ;)
