DISCLAIMER: The purpose of this topic is to have, if possible, genuine answers. It is not my intention not to discredit nor offend the producer nor to advertise anything else.
Hi forum.
In the need of buying a RF Current probe for troubleshooting EMC issues, after searching through the net I was intended to buy from the renowed american producer their famous 33 model.
Here in Italy they have no reseller so I decided to buy it directly from America, knowing that I would have to pay at least +1.5k of extra fees for shipping and custom fees.
The strange fact is that asking three different USA reseller (all multi brand EMC Shops) in different locations all told me that " the producer is not taking any new orders at this time".
So I phoned directly to the producer and they told me, no problem, we ship even worldwide - everything is fine.
But after having signed me their sales order acknowledgment, they simply disappeared.
No reply to the mail.
I know I am a small fish and not going to close an order for 100k but...
Now I am worried about loosing my money ( it's more than 4k!!) and the last thing I would like to have payed and then to follow my money back.
So I am asking You, forum, if you have any news about, if You have ever bought from them or any hints what to do best.
Thank You very much,
honesty is appreciated and is the basis of my topic.
regards
Steve

I think you will have to disclose the manufacturers name or else nobody will be able to advise you if they have any knowledge of the company, either personally having purchased from them or having some knowledge of their current status, i.e. are they filing for bankruptcy etc. :-//

it's Fischer Custom Communication also known as FCC
a renowned EMC test equipment. Everyone in EMC field knows this famous brand.

$4k ?  :scared:

I'll leave this here:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33029566295.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.76394c4dvHkz2M

Surely those things are calibrated, documented and repeatable.

As I told in the topic, this is not an advertisement for better/cheaper solutions.
It is a request for info about buying feedback and valuable info of that specific customer in this specific historic moment.

By the way
4k current probe:

Are used primarily for conducted emission measurements
They can withstand up to 50A pulsed current and up to 100A on primary CW.
They have a transfer impedance of 5Ω (± 2 dB) over the frequency range of 5 MHz to 250 MHz
That can be clamped on the wire.

That cheapo Chinese crap is a bad imitation of other tools used for near-field radiated emission.
Nothing to compare with.
@TauTech: Siglent has some excellent one
Or Better build a DIY probe instead.
But unluckily off the topic....

Thank You TV84.
Not yet done.
I am in the position after signing the sales order acknowledgment, and before receiving from them the official quote with the bank account info.
Simply don't know what to do.
Pay and then pray
Or Not to pay
Regards
