Siglent SDM3055 and SDG1032X questions
« on: March 21, 2022, 03:22:11 am »
I just bought the SDG1032X which has a 10MHz output on the back. How do you get it to output a signal? I looked in the online manual, not much info there or I missed it. I’ll get the 133 pages printed tomorrow.

Next question.
My SDM3055 will also read frequency. I connected the 1032X to it but it stops reading freq once I get around 2.7MHz. The 1032X is still outputting a sine wave, I verified it on my scope.
Is this normal operation for the 3055. (I’ll get that manual printed tomorrow too)

You missed it.

Thanks for the info guys.
I found out that the SDG1032X will read frequencies up to 200MHz so I can now sell my B&K Precision 1805 80MHz freq counter as well as my old Exact 122 signal generator.

Tautech, I got the manuals printed today, looks like the one in your link is not the one that Siglent has available on their website. Seems it’s a newer version and has fewer pages than yours.
The newer manual doesn’t have info on setting up the 10MHz output. I followed your instructions and it worked fine.
I think I will need to go thru both manuals and print the pages that are missing from the newer manual.

My SDM3055 is still working fine after you helped me with the frozen startup screen.

NA and HQ websites both list the same version: E01D
I linked you the NA manual due to your location which makes it faster to load.
The differences in the page numbering is how Adobe lists it vs the actual page numbering in the manual.  ;)

Yes I figured the Adobe and actual are different.

The one I downloaded from Siglent was E08B.
The E01D had 20+ more pages than mine.
No problem  :-+ , I’m up and operating.
