By searching SDS2202X-E on eevblog, I find several results talking about release 1.1.20R3, that seems to be distributed with new scopes since at least last October (see e.g.
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/siglent-sds2202x-e-roll-pk-pk-bug/msg3764744/#msg3764744).
There are several known bugs on the 1.1.19R5, one also discovered by me (at least I think), this one:
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/sds2202x-e-fpga-bug-or-broken/msg3518718/#msg3518718. I can confirm that 1.1.20R3 solved that particular problem, because I could find it in an unofficial site (russian link) thanks to user "rea" on September 2021.
So, why doesn't Siglent publish updates? Is perhaps the new release problematic with old hardware versions and they are trying to hide this fact?
Also 1.1.20R3 has bugs: the first link that I cited talks about one; I recently discovered another: when going in history mode and activating "List", the field "hour" of "Activation time" doesn't count correctly, resetting to zero a few minutes after reaching one and never going above one. I discovered this using the Ethernet connection (with VISA) to extract a long series of frames automatically.
What should we expect for the future? Tautech, you are always very helpful in the forum: do you have any news on this?
Any Siglent people can answer?
Regards,
