IWATSU - new 8ch oscilloscope?
« on: December 03, 2020, 09:34:36 pm »
Any one have any info on this what it seems an 8ch scope from Iwatsu?

Edit - I just found my answer, it seems I was not searching in the official Iwatsu YouTube channel, which the top link seemed at first to be.. Interesting how it will compare with the other new 8ch scopes (at lower bandwidths) from Tek. and Keysight. Yokogawa (first one I think) and Lecroy also have 8ch scopes.

Digital oscilloscope Wideband 1GHz, high resolution 12bit, maximum 8 channels DS-8000 series 6 models released

November 30, 2020

Iwatsu Electric Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kugayama, Suginami-ku, Tokyo, President: Toru Nishito) will release the DS-8000 series of digital oscilloscopes (maximum frequency band 1 GHz, vertical resolution 12 bits, maximum input 8 channels).

In recent years, devices such as power supplies, inverters, and non-contact power supplies incorporated in car electronics and home appliances have been reduced in size and loss by utilizing next-generation power devices such as SiC and GaN. In order to make these evaluations accurately, it is necessary to accurately measure high-voltage and large-current signals at high speed with high resolution. To meet these needs, we have developed the DS-8000 series of digital oscilloscopes. In addition, there is high demand for high-speed, high-resolution, multi-channel measurement in a wide range of fields such as mechatronics and physical measurement, and it is useful in various measurement scenes.

Product name

Digital oscilloscope DS-8000 series

Main specifications and features of the DS-8000 series
-Display: 15.6-inch Full HD With
high visibility, you will not miss the details of the waveform.

-Easy-to-use user interface
Intuitive touch screen and buttons and knobs allow comfortable operation.

-High-speed startup for about 30 seconds
After turning on the power, you can start using it without the stress of standby time.

-Number of analog channels: Select from 2 types of 4CH / 8CH
Ideal for measurement of three-phase inverters and car electronics field equipped with multiple sensors.

-Frequency band: Select from 3 types of 1GHz / 500MHz / 350MHz
Ideal for designing and debugging high-speed signal circuits.

-Maximum sampling speed: 5GS / s
High-speed signals and steep signal changes can be reliably captured.

-Vertical resolution: Always
captures minute changes contained in 12-bit (equivalent to 16-bit in high-resolution mode) large-amplitude signals.

-Maximum memory length: 120M points as standard equipment Achieves
long-term waveform observation without slowing down the sampling speed.

-High-speed data transfer:
Optimal for high-speed transfer of waveform data for simulation and improvement of tact time of production equipment about 15 times compared to our conventional products.

4 Channel $11,557.02
...
Are these starting prices for the lowest bandwidths? If so, it will need to offer lots of software/probe features to be able to compete with the rest on the market right now.
