« on: March 17, 2017, 07:41:57 pm »
The Digilent Analog Discovery has been around for quite a while.  Now they have introduced a similar module called the Digital Discovery.  It's on order so we'll see...

True, but it's free to the first 100 buyers of the DD.
I thought the price seemed high as well.  It does include the twisted pair leads but still...

Retail twisted-pair ribbon cables are rather pricey. Definitely worth it to DIY.

Edit: When they said twisted pair, I thought they were using a twisted-pair ribbon from the DDD to the adapter. Nope. The adapter goes directly on the DDD and individual twisted pairs go from the adapter to the DUT. So, no fancy cables needed. Just twist your own leads/jumper wires and slap in a terminating resistor. :-//

Ah great, I've been waiting for this one to be ready for sale. Specs look pretty good and if the software is similarly good as the waveforms API (with python) it should be fairly useful.
