Fluke 8050A any good?
« on: May 18, 2017, 04:55:53 am »
Hi,
I have an old Fluke 8050A benchtop multimeter I was given a couple of years ago. Now that I've become really interested in electronics I was wondering whether this is a good unit, or should I replace it with a newer model? Have managed to download a manual.
cheers
Gary

It is a great unit. Keeps its calibration extremely well and a good RMS AC volts.

Because of its age, protection is not to the same standard as modern multimeters, but for low voltage bench work, it is excellent.

You should definitely mail it to me and get something newer for yourself. Better safe than sorry.
