Not sure why you'd want this when the 1200W Best BST-863 can be had for the same price
Because this thing has rotary dials for the user to control the temperature and air flow. Wheras the BST doesn't and has a touch screen instead. This is an aspect which is also missing from the Quick too.
The thing is that you are correct that the BST station is a better quality product. Which is why several months ago I emailed a representative at BST company and specificall asked them to make those changes for their BST-863. To improve it into a future product. Ditto. Didn't hear back from them or anything. So for all we know, they might never end up doing that. So what is the way forward here?
Personally I would very much like to see if there is any reasonable potential to mod the BST-863's user interface. So that we can install rotary encoders as dials and bypass that touch screen. However since many people buy this thing specifically for doing their most important and critical (or money earning) daily work. There is not much motivation to do that, if it means potentially taking the machine out of action, giving up work time, or risking breaking the machine. Which is kindda why doing such a mod is also a stupid idea.
So what ends up happening? Some other company sees the opening in the market, and makes what the user is actually requesting. But it is probably a lower quality product.
