He didn't mean too, he would be disqualified if entering it twice. It's probably just the way the form works.

Apologies for not being clearer.

image and quotes suggest it's more than 4 channels?

Yeah, Mike's phone number is in the form, I don't think that one is public. The rest of the information is though. You can remove all the identifying parts in the URL and shorten it to: http://info.tek.com/en-a-new-era.html

I filled it in too, but I'm not affiliated with any company, just wrote "none".

My guess is any extra connectors on the front with be a AWG, trigger - not 7 or 7 analog channels.

http://info.tek.com/en-a-new-era.html

I don't quite understand how, but I guess it's because the URL is capitalized that that link gets forwarded to "http" which my browser assumes is really "http.com"...

edit: Yeah, it appears moving to lower case http fixes it.

But anyway, the 1st post needs another edit.

edit: mike, just use the link I made. lol.

Re. channels, I'd guess either 32ch MSO or 6ch analogue - some applications lihe 3-phase motor drives could use this for simultaneous V/I on all phases.

If it goes that route - I wonder if they will have 10 or 12bit A/D to go head-to-head with LeCroy 8ch  - maybe this will be lower cost than that? For power applications - dynamic range is good to have

Because it's "More". like 2GHz is more. Tek have failed to keep up with the competition on similar specs, so maybe now they're trying to find niches not served by them.

At least on Pico X+16 MSO you run out of all digitals if use 16x1bit as 16bit ADC input to gain 16bit "virtual channel". With 32 would still have 16 left... Of course if such thing even possible on Tek. As for analog channels - indeed run out of them in no time when attach to some motor... +use digitals to listen for 24V PLC signaling. So think more the merrier :-+ Besides micros and HF signaling there is whole world full of actual machinery that does actual stuff. But if its 2GHz... hmm... Tweak 3ph motor plus wireless signaling instead of 24V at the same time maybe :-/O
In that case they should install enough memory so it could run at least 5GSa/s in ~100ms/ timebase.

Yokogawa has had scopes with many (>4) channels for decades so it isn't new.

I have (only once) used all 16 channels on my MSO. It was an unusual case for sure.

I wasn't being entirely serious about 32ch MSO, but it would be a relatively cheap way to claim "The Most channels". I highly doubt it's >4 channels at 2GHz though ( or if it is, the price is way into 5 figures for that configuration)

Though re-reading the Tek site : "...with unparalleled digital visibility..." maybe it is more MSO channels
