Advantest R3132 Spectrum Analyzer ---- RF fail ----
« on: February 15, 2021, 05:50:50 pm »
Hello people,

I'm new here.
I hope I can get help here.
I have a problem with my ADVANTEST R3132 Spectrum Analyzer (no options),
I bought the device used.
The device worked perfectly so far, except for the error when booting BACK UP RAM == NG
Not OK. and CPU fail (self-test), everything else was fine so far.

Today I replaced the BACK UP battery and now BACK UP RAM is O.K. and during the self-test
(Shift 0) CPU O.K. but the device now shows "RF fail" during the self-test.

Does anyone know what could be defective?

Please help

Thank you in advance

Does it have a self-calibration function?  If so, have you tried it?

Yes it does, the problem seems to be thermal.
If the device is cold, everything works, Cal O.K, Self-test O.K
As soon as the device is warm, the - RF Fail-  error occurs during the self-test.
Problem is the RF module ???
Circuit diagram ?

Did you already search the forum? I think there are other threads about this problem for the R3132
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

Yes, thank you .

I found it in the forum, there a similar problem is discussed

Is it also a temperature problem? Could be?
